About FORREST Corrosion Resistant Primer

Corrosion resistant primers act as barrier coating for interior or exterior steel substrates and are compatible with various topcoats. These versatile primers are recommended for use on machinery, structural steel, agricultural equipment and fabricated metals. Most products are available in standard white, red oxide, and grey, as well as other colors to improve opacity of topcoat. A fast-drying universal phenolic modified alkyd primer with non-lifting properties. Rust-inhibitive pigments provide excellent corrosion prevention and good weathering characteristics for protection during storage, transit or construction. Appropriate for use on interior or exterior steel substrates and compatible with alkyd, acrylic, vinyl, epoxy or urethane top coats. Aerosols are available for touch-up or maintenance requirements.

A high solids, 3.5 VOC or lower phenolic modified alkyd primer with non-lifting properties. Rust-inhibitive pigments protect against corrosion. Appropriate for use on interior or exterior steel substrates and compatible with alkyd, acrylic, vinyl, epoxy or urethane top coats. A 2.8 VOC version meeting TT-P-664D standard is available (216P317).  Also available in a low EB for states that have air quality restrictions (216P902).
