FORREST epoxy resins are available in low, medium or high viscosity formulations. Performance characteristics vary by viscosity level.
Low viscosity epoxy resins exhibit qualities such as excellent adhesion, outstanding wetting properties, great chemical resistance, and high performance on difficult substrates. These formulations can be used for a variety of applications.
Medium viscosity products have been used extensively in the manufacturing process of skis, snowboards, wakeboards and paddles. Most of them are specially designed for use in heated compression molding applications. They are characterized by qualities such as clarity, high strength and reactivity, and improved wet lay-up processes. When coupled with our amine hardeners, these products demonstrate excellent low temperature, flexural, impact and adhesion properties.
High viscosity epoxy resins exhibit traits such as temperature resistance; both low and high, good chemical resistance, and great adhesion to a variety of substrates such as plastics, wood, and composites. They are often used for castings or molds as well as in the manufacturing of water skis and snowboards.
